Camping Policies

Santa’s Whispering Pines Campground

Check In/Out

We welcome you on site any time after 11 am and look to have your site ready by 4 pm. Should your site not be ready upon arrival, you are welcome to park in the overflow parking lot and enjoy your day at the campground or Santa’s Village or the Aerial Park. Check out time is 11 am. Please see us if you would like to extend your stay.

Additional Sleeping Structures

Not all sites can accommodate additional sleeping structures, call our team to discuss your additional structure needs, $10.00/tent/night applies to pre-registered additional tents. Any unregistered tent erected onsite will have a $30.00/tent/night fee charged to the card on file without notice. Unregistered tents may be required to be taken down.

Site Cleanliness

Please leave your site as you found it. We work hard to ensure your site is clean prior to your arrival, we ask you do the same for the next patrons. A minimum $50 fee will be applied to the credit card on file for sites left in disarray.

Garbage

Garbage containers are located beside the lower comfort station in the overflow parking area. You are to remove all garbage from your site upon checkout. Please do not place campsite garbage in the washroom, Rec. Centre or pool receptacles – it attracts critters.

Campfires

Each campsite/cabin/yurt/cottage includes a fire pit and picnic table, which are to remain on the site. Fire pits are not to be relocated on the site (a minimum $50.00 clean up fee applies). ).  Campfires are permitted between 4:00 pm and 8:00 am. Campfires must be low by 11:00 pm. For the safety of all, please extinguish your fire completely before leaving your site or retiring for the night. Do not burn garbage in your fire pit. PLEASE CHECK THE FIRE RATING BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME TO ENSURE YOU PLAN PROPERLY.

Wood

In accordance with Town of Bracebridge fire burning by-law, you may burn only HARDWOOD in your fire pit, all else can result in a $250 fine. Dry fire wood is for sale at the store. Outside firewood is NOT ALLOWED . Cutting, defacing or nailing/screwing into a tree at the park is prohibited. Please keep our trees healthy.

Pets

We welcome your family pet, however we must insist that they are kept on a leash. Pets are not permitted in the pool, pool enclosure, playground or washrooms. Please discuss service animal access with management. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet and are asked to keep barking, etc. to a minimum.

Children

Children are the responsibility of their adults. Please ensure children are properly supervised at all times, especially around fires, cooking stoves, the playground and the pool. BIKE HELMETS MUST BE WORN BY CHILDREN UNDER 17.

Pool

The pool is open in July and August from 11 am – 7 pm daily (other dates weather permitting). Pool closes for the season mid September each year. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult no younger than 16 years. Patrons must strictly follow the posted rules.  The pool may be closed at any time to ensure the health and safety of all patrons. No food or drink is permitted in enclosure.

Clothing Lines

Please remove all clotheslines from trees upon your departure to ensure the health of Santa’s Whispering Pines.

Site Occupancy

The sites are designed for 4 people with one sleeping structure and one dining structure; additional fees apply to additional people/tents. Not all sites can accommodate additional sleeping structures. Please speak with our team BEFORE finalizing a reservation.

Smoking

For the enjoyment of all, please be conscious of where you smoke. By law there is no smoking within 30 metres/10 feet of any doorway. There is no smoking in any public areas. Please ensure your butts find a garbage can, not a fire pit.

Campground Etiquette

We are a family style campground. Noisy parties, profane language and excessive drinking will not be tolerated. Drinking to intoxication / illegal substances will result in immediate removal from the Campground. Please consider using plastic containers/cups and/or cans. All caps must be placed in the garbage, not in your campfire or on your site. Fireworks and torches are not permitted. Quiet time is from 11 pm to 8 am. A $100 disturbance fee will be charged to the credit card on file for repeat visits by Management/Security.

Cancellations

When you make your reservation, 100% payment is applied to your credit card.

Standard Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel more than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival, you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee and the reservation surcharge ($10 for online bookings, $15 for over the phone/in person).

If you cancel within the 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival, all payment is forfeited. Tickets to Santa’s Village that had been added to your reservation are also forfeited when cancelling your reservation within 14 days of your date of arrival.

Cancellation due to no payment

If payment was not made by the assigned date, your reservation will be cancelled.

Guest Credit

If your payment was moved to a Guest Credit, take note of the expiry date of the credit on account.  Check your invoice for details.  Unless otherwise stated on your invoice, guest credits expire at the end of our season each year.

Please note that reservations are non-transferrable.
